Record and review attendance
Save a dated attendance session, correct it with a reason and download the records your staff can view.
Attendance is an internal staff tool. Public QR check-in, self check-in and child pickup are not available.
Watch setup tutorial — Attendance
1. Open Attendance for your campus
Sign in and choose your church. An administrator selects Attendance in Explore apps, within your current plan. Open Attendance and choose your campus. Staff access to Attendance and People is required; selecting the app does not grant access. For a session linked to a Group, you also need access to that source Group.
2. Name and date the session
Check existing sessions, then select New attendance session. Enter a Session name and Session date, and choose the Campus. Use the calendar date in the displayed campus time zone. Different services can share a date; give each a clear name.
3. Review people and save
Choose an available group in Seed from Group (optional), or keep Service session (no Group). Choosing a Group replaces the draft roster. Use Add person to session for existing People records and Remove for a mistaken entry. Added people start as Present: check each person and choose Present, Absent or Excused before selecting Save attendance.
Select Open attendance to confirm the saved name, date and statuses. Later Group roster edits leave this saved attendance unchanged. Update shared names in People. If a save result is uncertain, use Reload attendance and discard draft and inspect the saved sessions before creating another.
4. Correct a saved session
Open the session and select Correct attendance. Update the name, date or people’s statuses, enter a Correction reason, then select Save correction. Reopen the session and review Correction history for the reason, revision and previous values. The original campus and source Group stay fixed.
Corrections require People staff access across every listed person’s campuses, including anyone you remove. If access has changed, ask your administrator to check it. If another editor saved first, keep any notes you need, choose Reload attendance and discard draft, then reopen the current session before editing again.
5. Filter and download attendance
Choose From date, Through date and an Attendance Group filter, then select Filter attendance. Counts cover the permitted sessions matching those filters. Recorded attendance entries count entries across sessions, not unique people or anonymous headcounts.
Select Export session summary CSV for one row per session, Export person attendance CSV for current saved person statuses, or Export attendance JSON for structured data. Downloads use the applied dates, Group and campus and your current access. Share the files only with authorized staff.
